ASHLEY ALLEN
Ashley Allen is a passionate sustainability champion and carbon expert with nearly 20 years of experience leading climate change and sustainability efforts in both the public and private sectors. She has experience navigating complex global challenges and forming cross-functional partnerships to develop scalable solutions.
At CO2EFFICIENT, Ashley serves as the Senior Advisor for Corporate Sustainability. She helps companies navigate the rapidly changing ESG landscape, building out their strategies, crafting public messaging approaches, helping them get disclosure-ready, upskilling their teams and executives, and designing decarbonization solutions. She is also the Founder and President of CSO Copilot LLC.
Ashley has championed innovative and collaborative sustainability and climate change strategies and solutions throughout her career. Prior to joining CO2EFFICIENT, she was the Chief Sustainability Officer at Oatly where she built an industry-leading Global Sustainability Department. She designed and set a global corporate sustainability strategy, and helped Oatly make significant progress toward their climate, energy, packaging and diversity goals. Among her accomplishments, she launched a global sustainable agriculture program with oat suppliers and spearheaded a new solutions-focused approach to measure corporate climate impact. Before Oatly, Ashley led climate change programs at Mars, Inc., the U.S. Department of State, USAID, and White House Council on Environmental Quality. She served on the U.S. government team that negotiated the International Paris Agreement on Climate Change in 2015.
Ashley holds a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources and Environmental Science from the University of Illinois and a Master of Public Affairs in International Environmental Policy from Indiana University.
