MOLLY IGOE
 

Molly Igoe is the Director of Policy, Communications, and Advocacy at CO2EFFICIENT. She brings political communications and state legislative experience in climate, energy, and environmental policy.

Before joining CO2EFFICIENT, Molly served as a Legislative Director for two years at the Maryland House of Delegates for Delegate David Fraser-Hidalgo (D-Montgomery County), while he was a member of the Environment and Transportation Committee and Chairman of the Motor Vehicle and Transportation Subcommittee. Molly managed the Delegate’s legislative portfolio, which included issues concerning electric vehicle adoption, clean transportation, and climate change mitigation. During her tenure, Molly helped shepherd an electric vehicle tax credit for Maryland residents and a statewide electric school bus pilot program into law. She was also involved in the passage of the Climate Solutions Now Act, one of the most ambitious climate laws adopted by any state in the U.S.

In this role, Molly worked with energy and environmental groups in and around Maryland, including BGE, Pepco, the Maryland Sierra Club, the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, and the Maryland League of Conservation Voters.

Molly received her Bachelor of Arts in political science from Washington College in Maryland and her Master of Arts in political communication from American University.
